Updates from May 24th meeting

Hi everyone! We had 10 diligent members come out to the meeting last Friday. There were very important things that were voted on and that means that 10 members decided very important items for the entire membership. This is a great reason for YOU to come to meetings and get involved! Want to get involved right away? We formed an ad-hoc committee to tackle the 'Stand Up For Fairness' Campaign where we will talk with each member one-on-one. Please let Tiffany know if you are interested in getting involved by Friday, June 7. You will be compensated.

Other items discussed included the management team being invited to the Christmas party and it was unanimously voted that yes, they will be continue to be invited. There was a member appeal that you can ask a member of the executive about and we circulated the new by-laws that will be voted on next month. 

Jayme Harper from PFLAG Canada came out to speak about their Youth Leadership Camp and we voted to donate money to this important cause that receives little funding. We encourage all other Durham locals to contribute to this important cause.

The tentative date for the next meeting is June 19th at 12:00, which will be President Dan Harding's last meeting and we wish him all the best and thank him for his service!
